For more than 40 years, Auctions Dr. Crott for expertise in the watch sector! Our company was founded in 1975 by watch specialist and collector Dr. Helmut Crott founded in Aachen, quickly made a name for itself as a reliable address for watch lovers and over the years has become one of the leading watch auction houses.

After many years of committed work in the service of collectors, the company founder retired in 1993 and handed over his respected and successful special auction house for high-quality watches to Stefan Muser. dr Crott, under whose name the auction house still trades today, has been on friendly terms with his old company and its new owner for a long time and is happy to continue to take an active part in the development of the auction house.

Furtwangen was once one of the centers of the Black Forest watchmaking industry with companies such as BADUF, LFS, and Union Clock, to name just three. And before that time, many inventors were busy in their workshops and Black Forest courtyards making the world-famous Black Forest shield clocks, flute clocks, or cuckoo clocks.

In the southern Black Forest at an altitude of almost 850 meters, the Black Forest town of Furtwangen is surrounded by hills that are densely forested, and the local mountain Brend, which at around 1100 meters offers a great view over the Black Forest landscape to the Alps.
